READY.GOV
Ready Business Usability Study
In spring of 2020, I was given the opportunity to conduct a synchronous remote, small scale usability study on the Ready.gov website, specifically the Ready Business page.

My team and I had intended to work closely with the Ready.gov team, however at the start of the project the United States began to experience the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since our clients were part of FEMA, we were unable to work as closely with them and the rest of the DHS team as we had originally expected. This was a valuable opportunity to experience the reality of expectations and project deadlines persisting in the event of communication blocks or other barriers between the client and myself, and gave me an opportunity to demonstrate initiative, independence and professionalism in the face of adversity during a project.

Ultimately we were able to meet with the client and successfully presented our recommendations for improving the UX/UI aspects of the Business portion of the Ready.gov website.

Below are copies of the final presentation and report documents.
